Woodland art is recognizable for its strong outlines, flattened forms and interior lines that often reveal relationships between animals, people, nature and the spiritual world. Monague began within that tradition but gradually developed a contemporary visual language of his own.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eColour became an important part of his language.
